DESCRIPTION

This is Hell is a frustrating experience with difficult controls. Each of the 2 joysticks on your controller move his massive fists, and your goal is to reach the pearly gates above. What awaits you in eternal paradise?

The journey is fraught with peril, featuring:

• Anywhere from 6 to infinite hours of gameplay, depending on how terrible you are. Many playtesters were unable to achieve divinity. Can you?
• Unique radio broadcasts featuring ads and interviews with the inhabitants of hell
• Up to 4 player local co-op. If you’re going to be stuck in hell, it may as well be with your friends!
• Steam “Remote Play Together” so you can still play online with friends!

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER

Matt Smith (Watt Designs) is the sole developer behind “This is Hell.” He recently left his role as an Electrical Engineer to pursue game development and art full time at his solo studio, Kilowatt Games. Having spent 1.8 years on his larger project “Cleanup on Isle Goblin,” he created and released This is Hell in a 30 days as a break from the primary project, and to get some experience with releasing on Steam.

Matt’s pixel art experiences started in high school when he decided he wanted to put more effort into making quality games. To gain art practice, he did a pixel art drawing every day for 500 days in a row, garnering him over 80,000 Instagram followers, along with some new pixel art skills. He then branched out to YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok as he started to make games, and has gathered a committed following. Once the income from commissions, Patreon, and print sales was enough, he left his Engineering job and never looked back. He now drives forward with a devotion to making quality games.
